A Galesburg man died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds Saturday night on the city’s northeast side.
According to a news release, Galesburg Police responded to a shooting incident at 1435 Moshier Ave. at approximately 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers entered the residence and found Heath D. Williams Sr., 48, with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided life-saving measures and Williams was transported to OSF St. Mary Medical Center Emergency Room for treatment.
Williams died at the hospital at approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Galesburg Police Department is currently investigating the case with the assistance of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police and the Knox County State’s Attorney’s Office.
