One person is dead following a crash Friday afternoon in rural Henry County.
The Henry County Sheriffs Department says the two-vehicle crash happened in rural Galva Friday at around 3:15pm on the Galva-Atkinson Blacktop and County Road 500 North.
Details of the accident have not been released, but deputies say multiple people in each vehicle needed medical assistance.
One of those people was airlifted to a Peoria hospital where that person was pronounced dead.
The accident is still being investigated.
