Galesburg is keeping its KFCs. Despite reports of all KFC locations in Peoria area suddenly closing their doors this week, the two locations here will remain open for business.
Lauren Leger, a media spokesperson for KFC US Media, told WGIL via email late Tuesday, “Confirming (the two Galesburg) restaurants are open and there are no plans for them to close.”
KFC has locations at 1017 N. Henderson St. and 1612 E. Main St. in Galesburg. They were open for business Tuesday night.
The Peoria Journal Star reported Tuesday that all KFC locations in the Peoria area have closed their doors. That includes locations in Washington, Peoria, Bartonville, Morton and Pekin. They also reported all KFC locations in Springfield, Rockford and Pontiac abruptly closed Monday.
