The victim in a late-Friday-afternoon crash in rural Henry County has been identified.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says Cassie Boorn, 37, of Dunlap died at a Peoria hospital Friday following the crash on what is known as the Galva-Atkinson Blacktop in rural Galva, or, Henry County Highway Five.
Authorities have not released details of the crash, except to say it was a two-vehicle accident, and that people in each vehicle needed medical attention.
Boorn is a native of Galva. Harwood says an autopsy shows she died of multiple blunt force trauma injuries, and that toxicology tests per state law are pending.
She was described in an online obituary as person who lived her life “with a vibrancy and fearlessness.”
A funeral service is being held in Galva Wednesday, with a visitation Tuesday.
