The Knox County Sheriffs Office says deputies arrested a Galesburg man wanted for a weekend homicide.
The Sheriffs Office says deputies apprehended Christopher Alfaro, 27, on a Knox County warrant charging him with First-Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery. Officials say Alfaro was put in custody without incident, and was taken to the Knox County Jail.
No word yet on when he will make a first appearance in court. He was arrested Wednesday.
Galesburg Police say officers went to a home in the 1400 block of Moshier Avenue around 8:30 Saturday night, learning Heath Williams Sr., 47, had been shot. He died at OSF Saint Mary Medical Center about three hours later.

An obituary says a funeral service for Williams will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home, Galesburg. A visitation will be held there Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
