Thursday: Night Market on Seminary Street & Thursday Night Jazz
Join us under the stars for a magical night market experience on Thursday, September 12th from 5-8pm! Discover unique treasures from over 20 local vendors (featuring produce, bakery, floral, woodworking, candles, pottery and art). Indulge in a night of shopping, food, and community vibes. The night market will be located on Seminary Street north of Main Street. Many other Seminary Street merchants will be staying open to serve you as well! After you visit the Night Market, be sure to check out Thursday Night Jazz at the Galesburg Community Arts Center from 7-10pm with the Knox College Cherry Street Combo. See you there!
Saturday & Sunday: Double Decker Scrabble Tournaments
We are holding the FIRST sanctioned Scrabble Tournaments in Galesburg History! September 14-15, 2024 at the Masters Educational Services Classroom on 101 E Main St. There will be two tournaments in total, one on each day, with varying schedules. We hope you come by to witness some Galesburg history!
Saturday: AltrusaPalooza
It’s the inaugural AltrusaPalooza! Join us for a morning of fun and service hosted by Altrusa International of Galesburg! This event is all about giving back to our community with a variety of engaging activities that support local causes.

There will be THREE service-oriented activities that help support local organizations within the Galesburg Community:
🎒 – Write positive notes that support students in the Blessings in a Backpack program based at Knox College.
🗑️ – Help keep our new library grounds clean by picking up litter and debris around the building.
📚 – Assist Galesburg Public Library with any needs they may have within their departments.
🌟 Enjoy a donut & enter our gift card drawings as our appreciation for your service. 🌟

Join us for a night of friendly competition at the Arts Center! Music & Art Trivia Night, in support of the Galesburg Community Arts Center! Saturday, September 14, 2024. Doors open at 5pm; Trivia Starts at 6:30pm. $120 per team table — table seats 8 people Register online here or by stopping into our gift shop at 349 E Main Street.
