Marlene M. Gehring, 65, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at her home.
She was born April 21, 1959, in Galesburg, the daughter of Paul R. and Ellen L. (Bean) Johnson. Marlene married Gary L. Gehring of Galesburg on June 1, 2009, in Berwick, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Hope Gustafson of Galesburg. Surviving is her husband, Gary Gehring; two daughters, Stacy L. Gustafson and Amanda A. (and Brian) Harrison; and five grandchildren, Nikki M. Gustafson, Lucas D. Gustafson, LaVant P. Ritenour, Heaven B. Harrison, and Ivory G.R. Harrison. Also surviving are two stepsons, Shawn (and Cari) Gehring and Scott (and Yvonne) Gehring; seven step grandchildren; and one great grandson. She is also survived by one brother, Paul D. Johnson; and two sisters, Dorothy J. (and Matt) Wilmot and Bonnie L. (and Blaine) Schick; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be accorded. No services are planned. Burial of cremated remains will be at Oneida Cemetery, Oneida, Illinois. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
