Johanna J. West, age 90, of Galesburg, Illinois, formerly of Williamsfied, died at 5:08 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Seminary Manor, Galesburg, Illinois.
She was born on July 22, 1934, in Trivoli, Illinois, the daughter of Phillip and Grace Mae (French) Knussman. She attended and graduated from Yates City High School. She married John L. West on March 1, 1953, in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2020.
Surviving are two sons: Greg (Lynne) West of Brimfield, Illinois and Kevin (Marla) West of Williamsfield, Illinois; granddaughters, Emily West, Amanda (Nathan Pilon) West, Andrea West, Amy (Ty) Landon; great-grandsons, Preston, Dash, Kanan and Maxwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters: Arlene Hartman, Phyllis Bridenstien, and Dorothy Elliott.
She assisted her husband on their farm and raising their family. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Williamsfield, Illinois.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held a later date. Memorials may be made to the Williamsfield United Methodist Church.
