An Ipava man is charged with first degree murder after allegedly shooting a man in the head on New Year’s Eve in Lewistown.
33-year-old Nicholas D. Pratt also faces charges of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and Endangering the life or health of a child.
Lewistown Police Department and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call just before 7 p.m. regarding a gunshot victim at 518 S. Main St., Lewistown.
Life-saving measures were initiated and the victim was subsequently transported by ambulance to Graham Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
The victim was subsequently identified as 39-year-old Levi Blair of Canton.
There is no on-going threat to the public and this is believed to be an isolated incident.
