Mr. Carl LeRoy Berg, 96, passed away at 3:53 a.m., Friday, January 31, 2025, at Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth, Illinois.
Carl was born January 7, 1929, in Indian Point Township, Illinois, the son of Gust and Florence (Ray) Berg. He married Patricia Ann Miller in 1954 in Warren County.
Surviving is his wife of 71 years, Patricia of Berwick, Illinois; two sons, Alan Berg and Tom Berg both of Berwick and his daughter, Cindy Boone of Macomb, Illinois; his sister, Carol (Hillard) Gipson of Berwick; two grandchildren, Tara Boone of St. Augustine, IL, and Holly Berg of Ottumwa, Iowa; two great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Carl graduated from Avon High School in 1947. He served in the US Army National Guard as a Corporal. Carl went on to work as a rural letter carrier for over twenty-six years, retiring in 1990. He also enjoyed farming and old tractors. He was a member of the Berwick Baptist Church.
