Candidates running in the upcoming Galesburg Consolidated Election will have the opportunity to participate in a public forum on Monday, Feb. 24.
The forum will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday in the Community Room of the Galesburg Public Library. It is sponsored by Galesburg Branch 3016 of the NAACP and the Galesburg Public Library.
Candidates will present their qualifications and reasons for running and answer questions on topics solicited from local media and the local Democratic and Republican parties. There will also be time afterwards for the public to meet informally with the candidates.
Heather Norman, general manager of TriStates Public Radio, will be the moderator. WVKC/TriStates Public Radio will provide livestream video of the event on its website, www.tspr.org, and WGIL will post audio from event on wgil.com and carry a replay on WGIL Radio.
