Five athletes from the WGIL/FM 95 area — including Galesburg’s Galesburg’s Eliana Juarez — will compete in the IHSA Girls State Wrestling Championships on Feb. 28 – Mar. 1 at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington.
A senior, Juarez will take a 20-5 record into her match at 115 pounds.
Four wrestlers from Canton will compete at state: Abella Brown (Soph., 100, 16-9), Chloe Hedges (Fr., 115 32-11), Kinnley Smith (Sr., 130, 40-3) and Katelyn Marvel (Sr., 145, 18-10).
