LeAnn R. Boone, 63, of Galesburg, Illinois, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, in the emergency room at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
LeAnn was born January 29, 1962, in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of John Charles and Rebecca Ann (Horn) Stout. LeAnn married Terry R. Boone on May 25, 1991, in Galesburg. He survives as do three daughters, Krystal (John) Bellamy of Round Rock, Texas, Cecilia Stout of Galesburg, and Jessica Benson of Ankeny, Iowa; and one son, Michael Stout of Bettendorf, Iowa. LeAnn is also survived by one sister, Jonna (Phil Hendricks) Stout of Abingdon, Illinois; ten grandchildren; and two great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, JoAnn Stout; and one grandson, Johnathan Herr.
LeAnn worked for several years at Sirloin Stockade. She went on to work in the manufacturing industry in Galesburg, notably working at National Seal and ILPEA, retiring in 2013. Her life passion was crafting, from her famous tie-dye t-shirts to woodworking and handcrafting greeting cards. JoAnn spent the last several years working at the Junk Drawer. After Terry and LeAnn married, they purchased her dream home and she always remarked she was living her dream life. LeAnn never met a stranger and thoroughly enjoyed decorating for Halloween and Christmas. Her greatest joy was her family. LeAnn could always be seen with a smile on her face and loved life.
Cremation will be accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. A celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Wataga Fire Department, Wataga, Illinois.
