Ruth Ann Andrews, 81 of Altona, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at her home. She was born on November 23, 1943, to Roy and Marion Fletcher of Bath, IL. She married John Andrews of Altona, Illinois, in Las Vegas in February of 1987. They were married for 38 years.
Ruth Ann worked at Balyki High School as a librarian and then as the book keeper for the district. She worked at the Knox County Court House, the Knox County Housing Authority, as the County Supervisor of the Walnut Grove Township, and as a bookkeeper for the Altona Fire Department. She retired from Compton Accounting in Altona.
Ruth Ann is survived by her husband, John; her son Rusty (Angie); daughter Stacey Dierker; Step-son Jim (Diana) Andrews; step-son Mark (Jen) Andrews; her grandchildren Travis, Tiffany, Kyle, Koert, Kirsten, Daniel, Makinzy, Maverick, Isabell, and several great grandchildren. Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altona. Visitation will be one hour prior starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Fairview Methodist Church in Bath, Illinois.
