Ralph Marion “Woo” Lewis, 80, of Roseville, Illinois, passed away peacefully, after a tough fight with chronic illness, at 10:54 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 22, 1944, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of John and Marjorie (Brown) Lewis.  He was raised and educated in Roseville.

He was a proud American and served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He married Sherry Pauline Shaver on November 17, 1963, in Greenbush and she survives.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sherry; children, Angel (Ray) Hughes of Riverton, Illinois, Terri Lewis of Roseville and Chris Lewis; grandchildren, Brody Stuart, Brogan (Melanie) Stuart, Brock (Sierra) Stuart, Kody (Ashley) Gordon, Marcus Kyser, Ryan (Megan) Lewis, Jessica (Drew) Graber, Hunter Marston and Willow Marston and 14 of the greatest great-grandchildren ever; siblings, Gary (Linda) Lewis, LaJune (Bob) Carlson; sisters-in-law, Barb De Groot, Sandy (David) Ray and Margie Martin. Many many nieces and nephews also survive. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law Carolyn Downs.

Marion worked hard his entire life. He retired from the Village of Roseville as the Water Superintendent. After retirement, they moved to Branson, Missouri, to enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather. They recently returned to Roseville to be closer to family. 

Marion loved his family very much and loved his pets. He also loved traveling, especially going on cruises with all the women in his life. He loved people and would give anyone the shirt off his back. 

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. A time of visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to your favorite charity and left in the care of the funeral home.
