Portion of Simmons Street in downtown Galesburg closed for utility work. Here’s when it will reopen

Brightspeed Communications has closed Simmons Street between Prairie Street and Kellogg Street and the Simmons Street and Prairie Street intersection for utility work. It is anticipated the closure will be in place through Friday, March 28.

This work is not related to the upcoming Simmons Street project but is being completed before that project to avoid tearing up the new construction after the revitalization project.
