Nancy L. Parrish, age 79, of rural Knoxville, Illinois, died at 2:49 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on June 16, 1945, in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Charles E. and Helen E. (Mortenson) Peck. She attended Knoxville High School, the class of 1963. She received her CNA Degree from Carl Sandburg College. She married E. Gene Parrish on November 21, 1963, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Knoxville, Illinois.
Surviving is her husband, Gene Parrish of rural Knoxville, Illinois; her children: Lisa Diane Parrish of Knoxville, Illinois, Debra Lynn Lewis of Auburn, Illinois and Mark Edward (Jolene) Parrish of Knoxville, Illinois; her grandchildren: Christopher, Justin, Skylar, Brandon, Drake, Alexandra, and Mitchell; two special friends: Peter and Gudrun Keitel; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Ronald Peck.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Knoxville, Illinois. She enjoyed gardening in her flower garden, bird watching and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2025, at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois, with Vicar Nathaniel Knutson Officiating.
