Mary Kaye Archer (Whitworth), born March 27, 1960, in Galesburg, Illinois, to Dean Alvah Whitworth and Margaret Moore, passed away on April 4, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 65.

Mary was united in marriage to Joel Don Archer Jr. on March 19, 1984, in Polk County, Arkansas. Together, they created a beautiful life, centered around family and love. Mary’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her children, whom she adored and cherished. Her children were the pride and joy of her life, and she took immense joy in spoiling them and later, her beloved grandchildren. Mary found peace and happiness in nature, often spending time outdoors with her loved ones.

Mary was well known for her career as a cook at George’s in Knoxville, Illinois. Throughout her life, she was blessed with a lifelong friendship with Vickie King, a bond that stood the test of time, dating back to their childhood.

Mary’s generous heart, unwavering love for her family, and her ability to make anyone feel special will forever be remembered. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, brother James (Jim) Whitworth.

Mary is survived by her husband Joel Archer Jr., children Amber and partner Blake, Deanna and partner James, Tyler and wife Britniey, Joel III and wife Amanda, sister Jean and husband Chuck Peterson, brother Ray Whitworth, grandchildren KC, Caleb, Ayden, Dustin, Kynlee, Bryson, Taytom, Joel IV, Amelia, Jacob, Blaze, Harley, Falicity, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones
