Man charged with pointing gun at suburban police chief

HILLSIDE, Ill. (AP) — One of the people arrested after gunfire erupted during a funeral procession in suburban Chicago is now charged with trying to draw a gun on a police chief after a brief car chase. 

The Chicago Tribune reports that 24-year-old Marcus Davis of Chicago faces a felony gun charge after an investigation revealed that after and the others jumped out of the car on Tuesday afternoon he allegedly pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at Hillside Police Chief Joseph Lukaszek before he dropped the weapon.

Davis was riding in a car during a funeral procession in which shots were fired three times – once in Chicago, once on the Eisenhower Expressway in Forest Park and once in Hillside.
He and three other people were taken into custody.
