Donna E. Neal, 87, of Galesburg, IL passed away at 6:57 am, Tuesday, May 11, 2021, in Farmington, IL.
Donna was born April 10, 1934, in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Jesse E and Mary (Hood) Cook. She was raised and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth High School.
Donna married Clarence A. Briggs in Monmouth, IL on May 15, 1954, and he died June 1981. She later married Donald C. Neal on January 18, 1991, and he died October 10, 2018.
Donna worked assembling refrigerators at Maytag for 30 years before retiring. She loved fishing, especially along the Mississippi River. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, James (Gloria) Briggs of Wataga, IL, Cathy (James) Walker of Farmington, IL, Mary (John) Menchaca of Peoria, IL, Donnie (Kim) Neal of Monmouth, IL and Lewy Neal of Knoxville, IL. She was also a grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands; 3 brothers, and 5 sisters.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Friday, May 14, 2021, at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth, IL. No visitation hours are planned.
