CHICAGO (AP) – Police say a security guard at a Chicago cannabis dispensary fatally shot a man who attacked him with an ax outside the business. Officers said the man approached the guard Monday at a Zen Leaf dispensary in Chicago’s Greektown neighborhood and swung an ax at him, striking him in the leg. A struggle ensued and the guard fired shots, hitting the man, who police said died at a hospital. The 37-year-old guard was hospitalized and was reported to be in good condition after his left leg was wounded in the attack. Police detectives were investigating the attack.
