Luann K. Colburn, 69, of Knoxville, formerly of Woodhull, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Woodhull. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home, Woodhull. Burial will be at Woodhull Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, Woodhull, the Outreach Hope at Marantha, or the Galesburg Christian School.
Luann was born on February 16, 1954, in Rock Island, the daughter of Clair and Doris (Strand) Colburn. She worked as a beautician at Sally’s Salon and Country Cuts. Luann previously worked for Dr. Caruso Optometry Office, LeRoy’s Jack and Jill Grocery Store (Alpha), and most recently AlWood Pharmacy
Luann is a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Woodhull. She loved singing in the Bethany Lutheran Choir and the Singing Belles of Woodhull. Luann was a social butterfly and enjoyed talking to everybody. Most of all she had a passion for God and for her family. She enjoyed every moment she spent with them, especially her grandchildren.
Luann is survived by her daughters, Kaylee (Olof) Collinson, Galva, IL, and Lindsay (fiancé, Timothy Heather), Whiting, IA; grandchildren, Clara and Everett Collinson; brothers, Dennis (Patty) Colburn, Woodhull, Gene (Barb) Colburn, Alpha, and Kevin (Kim) Colburn, Alpha; brother-in-law, Monty Bolduc, Woodhull; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Connie Bolduc; and her grandparents.
