A Knox County resident is dead after an accident earlier this week.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says Curtis Campbell, 29, of Williamsfield was pronounced brain dead Thursday afternoon at a Peoria hospital.
The accident in question happened approximately 48 hours before at U.S. 150 and East Knox Road in Peoria County. Campbell was driving an UTV that somehow hit a full-size pickup truck.
Harwood says mandated toxicology tests turned up negative.
Illinois State Police is said to be investigating, but they did not respond to our requests for information.
