Anatomy of HT Custer Park’s upgrades

Upgrades to the playground area at HT Custer Park, officially unveiled Friday, were desperately needed according to many in the community and in Alderman Evan Miller's Third Ward.  But there was a lot of thought put into the upgrades, and how ALL kids can use them.

Amy Wilson, a landscape architect with Peoria's The Farnsworth Group, helped the city with the upgrades, and talks about them with Will Stevenson on Galesburg's Evening News.

A ribbon cutting celebrating renovations to H.T. Custer Park was conducted Friday, June 21, 2024. The project includes a new playground, picnic shelter, restrooms, walking path, bicycle training area, rain/butterfly garden and a parking lot.
