From trees to fish to wells: What’s new at Knox County Soil and Water Conservation District
Resource Conservationist Kara Downin joined Galesburg's Morning News to preview several upcoming initiatives from the Knox County Soil and Water Conservation District.
She highlights:
- The spring bare root tree seedling sale with an approaching order deadline and a variety of trees and shrubs available. Orders due April 4.
- The twice-annual fish sale for pond stocking, detailing the types of fish offered and the pickup process. Orders due April 3.
- A cost-share program for sealing old, potentially hazardous wells.
- A free farm-to-table dinner on Thursday, June 26 at Camp’s Orchard outside of Roseville, co-hosted with Warren County, featuring locally sourced food and information on high tunnels, seeking both attendees and vendors.
