Galesburg warming shelter opening for season in new spot

The City of Galesburg has a warming shelter that's opened as of Nov. 1. The warming shelter has a new location this year, 525/527 Iowa Court.

The shelter will operate from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily, including weekends and holidays, from Nov. 1 through April 30.

Executive Director of the Knox County Housing Authority Derek Antoine and Director of Operations at the Galesburg Salvation Army Meghan Templeton joined Cameron Line on Galesburg's Evening News to talk about the warming shelter and the ways its lending a hand to individuals this winter season.
