A Galesburg native is among 12 of the best and brightest African American male college students in the country selected for a prestigious two-summer program in Washington D.C.

Jon Sibley III, a 2023 graduate of Galesburg High School and now a second-year student studying political science at Boston University, recently was chosen to participate in the Institute for Responsible Citizenship’s Washington Program.

Jon joined WGIL's Jay Redfern to talk about the Institute for Responsible Citizenship’s Washington Program, a highly selective program that offers a unique opportunity for some of America’s most talented African American male college students.
