The Silver Streak football team traveled to Bartonville Friday night to battle the Rockets for the the first time in 30 plus years. The Streaks ran away with a 41-7 victory. Galesburg (1-1) held a 7-0 lead at halftime and outscored Limestone (0-2) 34-7 on a bevy of explosive plays in the second half.
The Streaks racked up 364 yards rushing on the night, led by Amarie Richardson's 201 yards and 3 touchdowns. He scored on runs of 12,22,and 56 yards. Jamar Range added 141 yards and a 73 yard touchdown run. Marcus Lewis added 52 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
The Dave's Autobody Crunch Time Player of the Game was senior Gino Williams. The quarterback/safety lead the way with 3 interceptions on defense and added a 3 yard scamper for a score.
