REPLAY: GHS Silver Streaks boys basketball @ Burlington

The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball team went across the river on Tuesday night and came through with a 65-60 victory over Burlington. The Streaks win their first road game of the season where they were tested throughout. Galesburg faced a deficit of up to 12 points in the second quarter; however, the Streaks fought through adversity to ultimately snap a six game losing streak.
The Silver Streaks improve to 4-6 on the season.
Galesburg had three players with double digit scoring. Keigen Crummer scored a career-high 18 points, Jackson Crock Sibbing had 16 including 8 points in the 4th quarter, and Jaxon Wyatt had 15 points and 13 rebounds. The Streaks went 23 of 54 from the field, 5 of 14 from three, and 14 of 25 from the free throw line. Galesburg outrebounded Burlington 33 to 30 and had 7 assists.
If there was a time to make his first varsity basket, Tobi Kivunina found the perfect time. His traditional three point play near the end of the fourth quarter helped extend the Streaks lead to 7 points late. His basket was the cap to a great last quarter where he guarded Burlington's top-scorer with ferocity. The effort helped him be named Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game.
