It's back-to-back wins for the Galesburg boys basketball team as they dominated Friday night in a Western Big 6 match-up against the Alleman Pioneers at John Thiel Gym. The Silver Streaks won 81-39 and are now 7-13 on the season and 2-5 in the conference.
Galesburg scored the first 6 points and with a couple of big double-digit scoring runs, they had a 43-16 lead at the half. They started the 2nd half with another 13-0 run, and never looked back. The Silver Streaks shot 33 of 58 from the field, 9 of 22 from the three-point line, and 4 of 8 from the charity stripe. They had a commanding 40 rebounds in the game along with 16 assists and only 10 turnovers. Jackson Crock Sibbing led the way in scoring with 22 points, including six 3-pointers, Jaxon Wyatt scored 11 along with 5 rebounds, Leslie Kelley finished with 10 points, Cesaire Bile contributed 8, and both Tobi Kivunina and Rahkim McCellan scored 7 points. Ethan Oxley put up 6 points and led the Streaks in rebounds with 10.
Coming off the bench, Jackson Crock Sibbing was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game. JCS was a big contributor to the several scoring runs that the Streaks had in the game, finishing with 22 points, the most he has scored in a varsity conference game.
