The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team came out victorious in their trip across the river on Saturday. The Streaks handled the Burlington Grayhounds, 79-52, to improve their record to 11-1 on the season.
The Streaks were led in scoring by Lily Furrow who had 18. Grace Herchenroder scored 12 points, all of them coming off threes. Zaniyah Carter was the third Streak to score double digits as she finished with 10.
Lily Furrow was named Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game for her effort. She led the team in scoring, but her contribution on the boards in the second half helped the Streaks maintain order throughout the game.
