The Galesburg High School girls basketball team finished the regular season with a match-up against the Alleman Pioneers and Senior Night at John Thiel Gym Thursday night. The Silver Streaks came out strong and led the entire way to a 52 - 27 win over the Pioneers. With the victory, Galesburg clinched 2nd place in the Western Big 6 conference to wrap up the regular season.
Galesburg shot 20 of 43 from the field, 4 of 7 from 3-point range, and 8 of 17 from the free throw line. The team grabbed 28 rebounds, had 10 assists, and committed 21 turnovers. Galesburg's defense forced 27 turnovers by Alleman. Jozalyn Kilgore had a big night leading the Streaks with a double-double, 15 points and 15 rebounds. Grace Herchenroder scored 12 points, Zaniyah Carter finished with 11 points, Lily Furrow with 5 points, and Khloe May scored 3 points.
On Senior Night, the four Silver Streaks seniors, Annabelle Giles, Ryleigh Clark, Cora Johnson, and Josslyn Peck, were named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Players of the Game!
