The season came to an end for the Galesburg High School boys basketball team in the Regional Semifinal game at Dunlap Tuesday night. The Streaks fell to the 5th ranked team in Class 3A, the Morton Potters, 63 - 24. Galesburg got only 3 shots off in the 2nd quarter and trailed by 17 at halftime, and then Morton started the 3rd quarter with a scoring blitz of 12 points that put the game away with a running clock by the 4th quarter. The Silver Streaks finish the season with an overall record of 11 -22.
All of the Streaks players got into the game to wrap up the season. The team shot 10 of 36 from the field, 1 of 11 from the three-point line, and 3 of 5 free throws. They had 23 rebounds and 4 assists, but committed 20 turnovers.
The final Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game for the season was junior Jaxon Wyatt. He was the best at executing the weave offense game plan for this match-up, which was a dramatic shift from the style of game the Streaks normally run with.
