First Baptist Church has merged with The Ascent, giving the young church a permanent home at 169 S. Cherry St.

Pastor Andrew Wingo with The Ascent and Pastor Dorothy Lam with First Baptist talked with Galesburg's Evening News on Thursday about what went into the decision to merge.
