The importance of honoring fallen law enforcement officers

On Tuesday, the organization "Beyond the Call of Duty" stopped in Galesburg with their annual "End of Watch" ride at the Knox County Sheriffs Department.  Galesburg is one of 73 stops being made this year by the group pulling a trailer with a memorial to the law enforcement officers who died in 2022 and 2023.  In 2022, the deaths included Deputy Nicholas Weist, who was hit by a driver trying to evade police as Weist laid out stop sticks.  Weist's family was among those in attendance.

Prior to the memorial arriving, Knox County Sheriff Jack Harlan spoke with Will Stevenson on Galesburg's Morning News.
