“Big Bang BOOM” 4th of July Fireworks Show in Galesburg

Join us at Lake Storey Park in Galesburg on the 4th of July for the area’s largest Independence Day fireworks display synchronized to a music soundtrack, Big Bang BOOM!

The Galesburg Lions, WGIL, and The Laser present this FREE community event, made possible with the support of Blick Art Materials, Galesburg Nissan, Lenny’s Grill & Subs, Beacon of Hope Hospice, WestRock, and Solvera Health!

For the best viewing experience, bring your family to Lake Storey Park on Tuesday, July 4th, to claim your spot along the north bank of the lake. The fireworks will launch from the south side of the lake on the edge of the campground. If you watch the fireworks from somewhere other than Lake Storey Park, you will miss quite a bit of the show, including low-flying fireworks like ground-based displays and special effects.

There will be sound systems at a couple of locations in the park, but you can also bring your own portable radio so that you can hear the synchronized Big Bang BOOM soundtrack and get the full impact of the show! The soundtrack will be broadcast on 93.7 FM and 1400 AM WGIL, as well as 92.7 FM The Laser.
